Gangis Khan – A History Lesson (Mixed by DJ Kemo) [Mixtape]
Toronto, ON – A History Lessson dives head first into “Deep Waters” through the extensive catalog of Scarborough artist Gangis Khan AKA Camoflauge. The project is a compilation of previously released material from Camo and it is mixed and hosted by Vancouver’s DJ Kemo, a living legend within the Canadian scene. ‘A History Lesson’ takes you through the fan favourites from Camo’s previously released street albums Return of the Red Eye, Pandora’s Box, On Your Own and A Gangsta’s Code and also features songs from other projects he has been featured on over the past few years. The mixtape offers a fresh spin on previously enjoyed music and also serves as a great tool to introduce Gangis Khan to a whole new audience. DJ Kemo brings a lot of experience and that west coast flavour to the project by holding down both the hosting and mixing duties. Kemo, a member of Vanguards Music, is the producer behind the 2008 Kardinal Offishall hit single “Dangerous” featuring Akon and is also the beatsmith behind Canadian award winning classics like “Northern Touch”, “Top of The World” and “Fuel Injected”, to name a few.
Gangis Khan is currently working on his official album debut. Stay tuned to HipHopCanada for more information. Much respect to all of the heads that continue to support Gangis Khan and the Deep Waters movement.
