Producers build beats live at Sound Battle Royale [News]
Toronto, ON – Reporting on scene from the Augusta House in downtown Toronto, the place is packed with talent. The live Sound Battle Royale has producers building beats live on stage. Those beats are then judged by Rich Kidd, and all three members of Grammy-nominated production team Tone Mason. This event is the first of a 4 part battle series from some of the city’s hottest producers.
As the soundbombing began with a samples round, the crowd thickened out after the Lakers/Celtics game ended. Junia T is hosting the event which is ripe with classic hip-hop vibes courtesy of the talented producers and DJ Mel Boogie who is DJing the event.
The Kid Famous just entered the building and is circulating the room with his Lakers hat and new Hip-Hop Ain’t Dead It Lives In The North/Concrete Guerilla Clothing collaboration shirt. After most of the audience started the night glued to the thrilling NBA finals, it sounds like they could be in store now for another good battle.
