Rascalz – Northern Touch ft. Checkmate, Kardinal Offishall, Thrust & Choclair [Audio]

Vancouver, B.C. – Happy Canada Day! As HipHopCanada’s Song of the Day we bring you the Canadian classic “Northern Touch” which was featured on the Cash Crop album released by the Rascalz. The song offered a sense of unity to the Canadian hip-hop scene and gave it a much needed buzz that brought new audiences. Easily one of the most recognizable Canadian hip-hop songs of all-time and produced by none other than DJ Kemo. Aside from the Rascalz, the song features Checkmate, Kardinal Offishall, Thrust and Choclair. It was released by Figure IV/ViK./BMG. While many argue that “Dreaded Fist” was the better single, “Northern Touch” offered the most staying power as it is still in rotation on various networks today.
