Benny Blacc (Smugglaz) is Blacc by Popular Demand [PSA]
Toronto, ON – The early release of Benny Blacc of The Smugglaz debut album Blacc by Popular Demand now available on iTunes today. Benny Blacc is a founding member of the legendary Smugglaz street rapper crew from the infamous corridors of Jane and Finch in Toronto. This eclectic mix of music illustrates the evolution of one of Canada’s pioneering hip-hop artists. Benny Blacc first hit the scene with his partner Sticky Green of The Smugglaz with the hit single “Street Rappers” in 2000 that aired across Canada on MuchMusic television and later documented by CBC National News in prime time making history for Toronto street rappers. The duo later went on to record the Jane and Finch anthem “Jane & Finchin” that was licensed to MTV Films/Paramount Films Movie How She Move in 2008.
Now, Benny Blacc, through many trials and tribulations has returned with a solo effort entitled Blacc By Popular Demand that hits iTunes today and later on will be shipped to HMV stores across Canada.
