HipHopCanada interviews Lil’ Kim [Video]

Vancouver, B.C. – It’s a rare opportunity to even speak with the Queen Bee, much less sit nervously on her tour bus while she jokes around with her hype man – and a puppet – while drinking champagne.

Lil’ Kim has a certain reputation to uphold – both as the close associate of the Notorious B.I.G. and as the hyper-sexual caricature of hip-hop’s more misogynistic side. Kim turns symbols – and excuse the pun here – on their heads, especially with tracks like “Suck My Dick,” where she spits, “What bitch you know can thug it like this?/Imagine if I was dude and hittin’ cats from the back,/With no strings attached,/Yeah nigga, picture that!”

HipHopCanada interviews Lil' Kim

At 4 feet eleven inches, it’s hard to know what to expect from the live wire who comes harder than most men. She’s softspoken when she wants to be, and really quite tender in person. She’s thoughtful about her future, insightful about her past, and seems to really be enjoying the present. HipHopCanada got into it with the Queen Bitch to talk about her time in prison, delicious Oreo cakes, and what it actually takes to dominate the man’s game.

Special thanks to Coast2Coast Entertainment and Regime Entertainment for making this interview happen. And for being generally nice guys.
