Rascalz reunite in Nanaimo with the Killawatt Crew and Choclair [Photos/Review]
Nanaimo, B.C. – It was quite a night at the Spice Lounge in Nanaimo as the legendary Canadian hip-hop crew Rascalz reunited, along with the rest of Red1′s Vancouver-based record label Killawatt Records.

The Rascalz perform the monumental “Northern Touch” with Choclair
The crowd was extremely receptive, having been warmed up by Skulastic and the Scale Breakers, and definitely ready to see the hip-hop they’d grown up on. Lamar Ashe, HeatWave and Plazma – the artists hand-picked by Red1 for his label – proved their worth with energetic and charismatic performances, including the hit single “Killa Danca” which is currently in heavy rotation across the country.
Choclair was in the area for performances in Vancouver and Victoria to promote his new single “Made to Move Mountains” and met up the boys for a performance of “Northern Touch,” a single which is now legendary for its part in uniting the Canadian hip-hop scene across the coasts. Check out the photo set from the show, which gives some indication of the high-energy, rather rowdy set.
