About DJ Young Mase aka The American DJ

Despite not having the lyrical skill of Eminem, or the Smooth Voice of Dwele, DJ Young Mase has become one of the most influential men in the Detroit music scene. A member of the Aphilliates Music Group (home to DJ Drama), Young Mase has single handedly turned around the Detroit mixtape market. Since 2006 Mase has gone on to host and produce well over 250 mixtapes, and has worked with Detroit’s most well know artist, including Eminem, D12, Obie Trice, Royce Da 5 9, Tone Tone, and Quest M.C.O.D.Y.

Recognized for his high-energy DJ sets and loud catch phrases, Mase became Obie Trice’s DJ in 2007. As well as the official tour DJ for the “Never Say Never Tour” for Joe Budden and Royce Da 5 9 in 2008. Currently, Mase is working as the official DJ for the multi-platinum rap group D12 and has a growing fan base with his popular YouTube channel ” YoungMaseTV”.

He now turns his attention back on branding his “Heavyweight Radio” series. With the #1 online radio show in Detroit, “RapCityDetroit”, Mase now wants to help the Canadian Hip-Hop Scence. HHC and Mase are launching the only live Canadian Radio show to showcase Canada’s best, from the East Coast to the West Coast.
