Classified and Mic Boyd to take part in 2011 Juno Cup tomorrow night, March 25 in Toronto [News]
Toronto, ON – “It’s one of Canada’s greatest hockey rivalries – the giants of Canadian music face off against the greats of the NHL. Sure, it’s for charity… but that doesn’t mean it will be friendly!” Music and hockey come together this Juno Weekend with the 2011 Juno Cup featuring The Rockers vs. NHL Greats. Canadian hip-hop will be represented by East coast MCs Classified and his brother Mic Boyd. Click the jump for a full list of artists and celebrities taking part in the game. Ricoh Coliseum (100 Princes’ Boulevard) will play home to the Friday, March 25th event which starts at 7:30 p.m.
Two of Canada’s favourite pastimes – hockey and music – come together for an all-out clash of the titans during Juno Cup, a celebrity hockey game in support of MusiCounts, Canada’s music education charity associated with CARAS. The game sees former NHL Greats competing with Canadian artists and celebrities for bragging rights on the ice.
