Get ready to see an animated Drake on The LeBrons with basketball star LeBron James [OFFbeat/News]
Miami, FL – Get ready to see Drake making a cameo in the new animated LeBron James web-series that will be released this month called The LeBrons. According to TubeFilter: “The Lebrons, a cartoon series created by Spring Hill Productions and Believe Entertainment Group starring the four versions of the Lebron James-based characters introduced in those Klump family Nike commercials, will feature an animated iteration of Drake, voiced by the Grammy-nominated artist. Drake, along with all four Lebrons, will convey life-lessons to children by way of family-friendly cartoon hi-jinkx.” And according to Billboard: “The LeBrons” — in which James will play four different characters that were originally inspired from a Nike ad campaign — will be a family-oriented series focusing on teamwork and staying in school, among other topics. Producer Ali Dee has signed on to helm all of the music on the show.
Drake has worked with LeBron in the past on his 2009 More Than a Game documentary that chronicles James’ high school career leading into the NBA. Drake’s “Forever” was the lead single of the soundtrack and it featured Kanye West, Lil Wayne and Eminem. No information has been posted about a possible soundtrack for The LeBrons featuring Drake. Stay tuned for more information.
