Legends of the Fame – Represent, Trade and Collect: Now back in Toronto for Round 2 [News/PSA]
Toronto, ON – In January 2011, Fred E Fame and The 5th Artist Development Agency presented the first series of the Legends of the Fame Great Canadian Hip-Hop Card Collection. Making history, this is the first of its kind to go national across Canada. Sponsored by HipHopCanada.com, the cards celebrate Canadian hip-hop artists, producers, DJs and industry movers. While the cards give a nod to the the next generation of hip-hop they also include some major players, including Juno and Grammy award winners.
The first edition of the Legends of the Fame cards was released in Toronto, with a focus on T-dot talent, which quickly spread a buzz from coast to coast. The first Toronto series honoured DJ Law with a signature series card for his contribution to hip-hop culture. Law’s card auctioned off at $1000 which was donated to the Remix Project – furthering the goal of cultivating and celebrating Canadian hip-hop.
With the success of the first series in Toronto, and the expansion from Vancouver to Halifax, the second Toronto series is set for release in March.
