King of the Dot Presents DOOMSDAY June 18th in Toronto [News/PSA]

Toronto, ON – The weather is nice, Toronto’s most beautiful battle fans are out in full effect, and King of the Dot is here to provide you with your fix of the highest quality MC throwdowns in the country. Some of the biggest names to ever grace the caged arena at Club XS will be coming through for DOOMSDAY, the latest King of the Dot event that cannot be missed!

Event: King of the Dot presents DOOMSDAY on June 18th in Toronto (Battle Event) -

Headlining this blockbuster card is the first title defence from KOTD’s newly crowned champion, Bender of Flight Distance. The cerebral assassin known for his razor sharp metaphors will take on the #1 contender and King of the Dot: Alberta Division President Sketch Menace, one of Canada’s hardest working and most consistent MCs. This match is sure to be a brawl from the opening bell, with the most respected title in the world of battling as the ultimate prize.
Equally exciting are the highly anticipated KOTD 2 vs. 2 Grand Prix Semi-Finals, featuring four teams that have scrapped their way through the preliminary rounds of competition and find themselves just two wins away from $5000 and the recognition of being King of the Dot’s first ever 2 vs. 2 GP Champions.
In the first matchup, TheSaurus and Illmaculate face off with Tricky P and FeelGOOD. Arguably the best battle rap tag team of all time, Saurus and Illmac come in to Toronto riding a streak of two relatively easy wins. Tricky and FeelGOOD, on the other hand, have had to bring their absolute A game throughout the tournament thus far. Can the Canadian underdogs pull off an upset of the two-time WRC Champs?
The second semi-final pits HFK and Charron against poRICH and Diaz. Perhaps the team with the most consistency and chemistry thus far in the Grand Prix, HFK and Charron will try to use their trademark humorous style full of jokes about having your family members in various positions to clown their way into the finals. Standing in their way is the most polished, aggressive and hard hitting team remaining in the tournament, with Rich and Diaz having shown there are few teams that can hang with their personals and punchlines. Who will earn the right to battle for $5000 in the Grand Prix Finals?
Determined to expand into all the elements of hip hop culture, KOTD is bringing another high energy Beatbox battle to the fans. Exzam, one of Calgary’s finest in the artform, is coming to town to take on the legendary Scott Jackson in what is sure to be an entertaining showdown between these rhythmic titans. In addition, KOTD is also featuring a live paint sesh on the stage, showcasing not only rhymes and beats but some of Toronto’s dopest graf writers in action.
Other sick battles going down at the event are…

  • Aftershock vs Wird Of Pley
  • Fingaz vs Young Stitch
  • Q vs Lokust
  • JVL vs 100 Bulletz
  • SMP vs ForkFarm
  • Emcee Bill vs New’L

Make sure you don’t miss this fantastic opportunity to see some of the best battle spitters and performers from across the nation on June 18th at Club XS!

Shout-out to HipHopCanada for continuing to hold down KOTD!

A big thanks to Trevor D , Trevor D Custom Jewelery for supplying the Title Match Pendant.
