Calling all producers! West coast R&B singer Eliza and HHC are happy to announce the RIGHT NOW REMIX CONTEST which is open to producers EVERYWHERE until July 30, 2011.

DEADLINE IS THIS SATURDAY, JULY 30 – GET INVOLVED!

“Right Now” is the first official single from Eliza’s upcoming album debut, Born Knowing. The song features Vancouver mainstay Snak The Ripper and was produced and engineered by Preme Diesel. The song has been receiving spins on various radio stations including Vancouver’s The Beat 94.5FM, Kelowna’s SunFM and Alberta’s Kraze 103.3 which recently added the song to high rotation. A video for the song is currently in the works.

The rules are simple – download the acapella to Eliza’s “Right Now” single featuring Vancouver MC Snak The Ripper and create your own remix – submit your remix by July 30th for a chance to win a great prize pack, including recognition for having the official remix to Eliza’s single on her upcoming album debut, Born Knowing.

The Rules

1. To qualify for the contest, your submission must be received at rightnow@hiphopcanada.com by 11:59 p.m. PST on July 30th, 2011

2. The remix must incorporate the entire acapella (including the verse by Snak The Ripper)

3. The remix cannot contain any additional vocals (do not add any other artists to the song)

4. The remix must be radio ready and submitted in high-quality WAV via a free upload service such as hulkshare.com, megaupload.com, sendspace.com, mediafire.com (please do not use zshare.net or yousendit.com)

5. Be creative, don’t feel that the remix needs to fall in line with the same genre/feel as the original version.

Winning

The winning remix will be selected after the submission deadline date has passed.

The winner will receive the following prize package:

- The remix will be considered the “Right Now” official remix and will be featured on Eliza’s upcoming album debut Born Knowing,

- An Ephin Apparel prize pack including a shirt and a hat,

- A Hip-Hop Ain’t Dead It Lives In The North prize pack including 1 shirt, 1 hoodie and a mixtape,

- A spotlight article on HipHopCanada.com,

- Promotion on HipHopCanada’s social media networks including Facebook and Twitter,

- An e-blast to HipHopCanada’s distrubition list featuring your spotlight article, your remix for Eliza, another 2 songs you’d like to promote and your web links,

- A voucher for 50% off of advertising for 1 week on HipHopCanada’s homepage.
