Toronto, ON – After launching his solo career, Harvey Stripes quickly became a staple on the Canadian hip-hop scene. Dropping single after single, Harvey also solidified himself as a consistent artist. However, there was one thing missing: a compiled body of work. Now, Harvey Stripes proudly presents his highly-anticipated debut solo project, A Dollar and a Dream. The release has already seen success with its first three singles, “Come On” featuring Lloyd, “Must Be the Money” with Captain Hooks, and the punch-line filled street track, “Ding Dang Dong”.

“The response to the singles has been overwhelming. They have been spreading internationally on TV, radio and Internet,” says Harvey. “From the rest of the disc, fans should expect to experience all sides of this character they’ve grown to know. ‘A Dollar and a Dream’ takes you through emotional highs and lows. It’s boastful at times, vulnerable, and more.”

Beat Merchant, who serves as Harvey’s in-house producer, produced the majority of A Dollar and a Dream. Other contributing beatsmiths include Mark James, Bass Line, Arthur McArthur and Pro Logic. In addition, Harvey has employed the assistance of urban music heavy hitters from Canada and south of the border. French Montana, Lloyd and Mario as well as Canadian sensations A-Game, JRDN, Mayhem Morearty, Lokz and Captain Hooks all guest star on A Dollar and a Dream. Download it for free after the jump.
