#SOTD | JD Era – ICEH20 [Audio]

Toronto, ON – Today’s Song of the Day is the first record released by JD Era since signing with Raekwon’s new label Ice H20. The song, also called “ICEH20”, was produced by Toronto production kings Snaz and Frank Dukes. JD Era is currently wrapping up his summer release, No Handouts whbich will be the first release from JD Era under the Ice H20 imprint. Toronto’s own JD Era has officially joined Raekwon’s ICEH20 record label. This is a significant partnership for Canada, as it shows a successful rap veteran truly believing in a Toronto-based artist. Eager to show the world what he has to offer to the constantly changing hip-hop game, JD Era is wrapping up his summer release, No Handouts. This project will be the first release from JD Era under the Ice H20 imprint. It will be available for free download, this July at

Not wasting anytime, today JD Era introduces the beginning with the record label titled track, “ICEH2O.” This is the 1st release from the No Handouts mixtape.

As far as the Wu-Tang chef, Raekwon has also confirmed the signing of JD Era to Ice H20 through Twitter. “IT’S official, Welcome to the ballclub @JDERA!!!! Newest member to #iceh20records. Rt this crack!,” Raekwon tweeted. He’s also establishing a brand new head quarters for Ice H20 in Toronto, giving the city even more validity of being a true music capital. “I’m startin’ an Ice H20 Canada record company out here, Raekwon explained to Hip Hop Canada back in April. “So all this talent out here that’s sunken in this situation where they not able to carry it across seas, across the world, across to America, I’m here to give them the opportunity. There’s a lot of talent here. It’s been too many years that we’re not able to hear the music like how ya’ll hearing us constantly. I wanna be able to hear ya’ll constantly the same way, and see new artists come and get on.”

“I’m excited to be working with Raekwon and the ICE H20 family,” JD Era explained about the life changing event. “We’re looking forward to doing some big things for hip-hop in this country.”

    What Rae needs to do is put out a “ICE H2O” compilation album after Era’s mixtape drops. Just to showcase what he has to offer with the other talent he has signed.
