Montreal’s Treizième Étage featured on EA’s Battlefield 3 soundtrack [News]

Montreal, QC – A track by Montreal’s francaphone rap group, Treizième Étage (consisting of SP aka Sans Pression, Cobna & DJ Crowd) will be featured on the soundtrack for Battlefield 3 – one of the most anticipated video game titles of 2011. The game has been heavily discussed online and pre-orders have been through the roof. The game will hit store shelves on October 27th on major gaming platforms including Xbox 360, PS3, and PC. Next to Call of Duty, the Battlefield series is one of the most played war games online.

The group’s single “Comme d’habitude” is the track that will appear on the soundtrack and it was originally featured on the group’s T’inkiète project. The dark and militant atmosphere of the album T’inkiète seems effective knowing that another extract from the album (the song “Dernier mot”) had already been selected for the soundtrack of the film Bumrush by Director Michel Jetté – a film that is the harsh reality of Montreal street gangs. “Comme d’habitude” is available for purchase now on iTunes.
