Amalia Judith was born in Winnipeg, MB and quickly whisked away to a childhood of travel throughout California, England, Germany and predominantly Pakistan. In 2006 she completed an honor's degree in English Literature, which left her quite jobless and alone in East Van. Amalia cut her teeth at, Canada's darkest counter-culture magazine, moving on to contribute words and flicks to HipHopCanada: she's currently a member of HipHopCanada's West Coast team and has had the privilege to interview hip-hop icons like Lil' Kim, Pusha T, Big Boi, Three Six Mafia, Yelawolf, Pharrell Williams and most of Wu-Tang. Amalia also works as a Key Worker educator and advocate for families affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, as well as heading up Team Heartbreak, a media production company that pairs community involvement and artistic movements.

Thanks, Amalia Judith for the great article. Just as a correction please, Chin is a panelist not a host of MISCELLANEOUS Productions’ Raincity Rap: The History of Hip Hop in Vancouver on Oct. 21 and 22. Ndidi Cascade and I will be hosting the two days of keynote speakers including Sol Guy and Dr. Charity Marsh, panels, performance of an open rehearsal of our new hip hop children’s musical Kutz & Dawgs, videos and a dance contest for youth age 14 – 24 with prizes, etc. Chin will be on the Groundbreakers Panel on Saturday, Oct. 22 at 8 PM. Chin and Ndidi will be hosting the after-party on Saturday night beginning at 11 PM at W2. There is also an after-party at Calabash Bistro on Friday, Oct. 21 at 11 pm. All events are all ages except for the event at Calabash and W2 – both for 19 years old and older only. Thanks for the space to make this
correction and hope to see *you*, your friends and fans there to make this a truly historical series of events!
