K’naan talks about the World Of Betters project [PSA/Video]

Toronto, ON – K’naan discusses the World of Betters movement. Western Union has launched a “contest” encouraging viewers to submit an answer to the following question: How would you make someone’s day better. If your answer is chosen, they’ll give you $1,000 to make it happen. It essentially encourages people to give back to others. Perhaps even encouragement enough to send money to someone in need — using Western Union, of course. Nonetheless, it’s a great concept that should be pushed.

By the World of Betters definition, a “better” is a unique, entertaining and engaging act that benefits someone that you’re close to – a friend, a family member or a community. It should never be selfish, but it will always be creative and inspiring. It can be something that’s just fun. For the sake of fun. It can be for art, for a passion project, for education, gifting – anything that will make a person’s or communities’ day that little bit better.
