Calgary, AB – It’s that time of month again, where we team up with UBU Lounge for the fifth installment of 10 at 10.  The first one was nice.  By October, people were buzzin.  Last month was off the hook!  You don’t even know but if you missed it, you missed out.  You probably shouldn’t make that mistake again and miss out on the chance to see some of the best MCs, singers and producers this city has to offer.  Just like last month, we’ll be profiling one of the 10 artists right here.  Check the list of this month’s artists after the jump!

10 at 10 Vol 5

This month, we’ve got TL, Jay Nova, Twizzie & Pre, Mr. Cain, R. Thomas, Mekanikal Pencils, Sabo Forte, Fleetwood, Joanna Borromeo, and Willi Spitsik! And don’t forget to stay for the open mic cyphers after the sets.

In 2006 she completed an honor's degree in English Literature, which left her quite jobless and alone in East Van. Amalia cut her teeth at abortmag.com, Canada's darkest counter-culture magazine, moving on to contribute words and flicks to HipHopCanada: she's currently a member of HipHopCanada's West Coast team and has had the privilege to interview hip-hop icons like Lil' Kim, Pusha T, Big Boi, Three Six Mafia, Yelawolf, Pharrell Williams and most of Wu-Tang. Amalia also works as a Key Worker educator and advocate for families affected by Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders, as well as heading up Team Heartbreak, a media production company that pairs community involvement and artistic movements.
