Aspiring Toronto rap artist Tony Trapz killed in Scarborough [News]

Toronto, ON – In the early hours of Saturday, January 21st, Toronto lost yet another aspiring rap artist to gun violence. Anthony Spencer aka Tony Trapz was shot in the head at 12:42 a.m. while recording at the infamous Dungeon Sounds Studio located near Brimley and Lawrence. He was driven to the hospital by friends but would later succumb to his injuries. Tony Trapz had several videos and audio uploads on YouTube that can be viewed by searching his name although many of them have now been set to private.

Trapz is unfortunately one of many aspiring Toronto rap artists or DJs who’s lives have been tragically cut short by violence in recent years: Kareme Parks aka Blits, Michael George aka Meyend Tricks of the LowLife movement, Ludlow Gillespie aka Yung Mecca, Philly Blunts aka Andrew Dowden, Chris Tshilombo aka Splitz, Shane Williams aka DJ Cloud 9 aka DJ Platinum, Andrew Stewart aka KD, Donald Grant aka Kartel, Jamahl Franklin aka Wizzle. Rest In Peace.
