Final Notice: Hip Hop Ain’t Dead: The Tour Kicks Off in St. Catherines Feb 25th [Event]
Toronto, ON – Hip Hop Ain’t Dead It Lives In The North is the pre-eminent Canadian brand representing unity in hip hop. We don’t just participate in culture, we precipitate the culture. Whatever the medium: clothing (10,000 t-shirts sold), mixtapes (Stylus Award Nominated), parties (Toronto, Vancouver, Edmonton), we’ve contributed to an undeniable shift in the perception of hip hop in Canada. And in response to the rapidly developing thirst for cool, Canadian-made music in this country and abroad, Hip Hop Ain’t Dead – The Tour is born. Click the jump for the rest of the press release.
Check the Facebook event page for more info. Shouts to Trilateral Entertainment, Zoo Ent, Union Gang and Bishop Brigante.
Our headliner, Bishop Brigante, has long been synonymous with unbridled passion for the hustle. Host of AUX TV’s Ultimate MC, co-host of King Of The Dot, actor in movies like Narc and Platinum, the first Canadian to ever appear on 106 and Park’s Freestyle Friday and arguably one of Canada’s best rappers and performers, Brigante has negotiated a fresh label situation for early 2012 and kick starts his new found momentum with this tour. The Toronto-born MC, who recently toured with Onyx, represents the good, the bad and the ugly in what he refers to as “life music.” From TV screens to feature films to theatre productions to cross Canada tours, Bishop’s unyielding personality is amplified by his unrelenting drive and eclectic skill set. True to his moniker, “The Gambling Man” has played the game from every angle and is bringing his bigger than life performance to stages across Canada.
Sese aka Your Favorite Rapper’s Worst Nightmare (YFRWN) is best known for his massive online presence (over a million YouTube views to date) and explosive stage show. Following the release of his sixth mixtape in three years (Y.F.R.W.N. 2), Sese recently completed his own promotional tour hitting selected dates in Ontario and Quebec and opening for Tyga at Kool Haus in December. He’s fresh, he’s explosive and he’s next.
Hip Hop Ain’t Dead – The Tour launches first quarter 2012 and promises to be a special moment in Canadian hip hop. Will you be a part of it?
