1st Annual Spike For Life Goes Off Without A Hitch [Review]

Toronto, ON – On March 17, rapper P Reign hosted the 1st annual Spike for Life charity event at the Beach Blast Indoor Beach Facility center in Toronto. The event brought out fans, celebrities and volleyball players alike. P Reign’s indoor beach party was a fun way to give back to his community, with all proceeds going directly to the Boys and Girls Club of Scarborough. Included in attendance were some of Toronto’s most notable faces, such as Drake, Rap City’s T-Rexx, Cabral “Cabbie” Richards, MTV VJ Aliya-Jasmine, and the whole Reps Up crew.

Growing up in East Scarborough, P Reign attended some of the Boys and Girls Club’s programs. Now in a better position in his life, the “King of the North” felt naturally obliged to give back to the club. The club recently built a brand new studio, but with lack of funds, they are lacking proper musical equipment. Coming up as a young music enthusiast wishing he had a studio of his own, P Reign took it upon himself to create an event to raise money for the equipment. As well, 20 of the club’s youth members were invited to the event, and got a chance to meet some of their musical inspirations, and celebrity idols.

Whether the people came to support P Reign, meet their favorite rapper or have fun in the sand, everyone donated to a wonderful and crucial cause. P Reign promises to continue to give back to his community and the city in any way that he can.
