New York, NY – Canadians continue to dominate the number one spot as Billboard has announced that Believe by Justin Bieber has sold 374,000 units in its first week (according to Nielsen SoundScan). Take Care came out Decemeber 3, 2011 and it sold a total of 631,000 units the first week out. Billboard also reported that the largest sales of 2012 go to Adele for 21. It sold an additional 730,000 units the week after winning multiple Grammy Awards. Take Care is currently sitting at No. 46 on the Billboard 200 and has been charting for a total of 31 weeks. On Billboard’s R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart, Take Care is sitting at No. 8 and has sold over 1.75 million copies in the US to date. Just recently, the album was named as a longlisted nominee for the 2012 Polaris Music Prize.
