Drake will not be arrested for Chris Brown fight, despite earlier reports [News]
New York, NY – Toronto rapper Drake will not be arrested for the bar fight with Chris Brown despite early morning claims he was facing arrest, TMZ has reported. They apparently have ‘well-placed law enforcement’ sources informing them that Drake will not be charged with reckless endangerment for hurling a bottle during the fight. Not only that, the NYPD have “no suspects, complaints or arrest warrants at this time.”
The early AM report cited a witness who had allegedly informed police that he had seen Drake throw a bottle. This witness is likely the main fuel behind Chris Brown’s lawyer’s insistance that Drake had been the aggressor and having “evidence Drake threw glassware.” The security footage from the club was deemed useless by police as the footage is too dark. The report went on to say that if Drake didn’t volunarily surrender to the NYPD by next week, he’d be arrested during his upcoming concert at Jonas Beach. The new report from TMZ says they’ve been told this is also not true. Even the injury to Chris Brown’s bodyguard has been deemed as friendly fire – caused accidentally by someone in Breezy’s camp.
In some unfortunate NBA-related news, Tony Parker of the San Antonio Spurs (and French National team) was in the club and suffered a scratched retina on one of his eyes. According to Parker: “I was with my friend Chris Brown and me and my friends took some punches, so I’ll be missing the start of the French team because I can’t do anything for a week except keep the lens in and then take drops.”
