Charron signs 360 record deal; preps for 106 & Park and Jimmy Fallon appearances [News]
Ottawa, ON – Big news from battle rap champ, Charron. It was announced today that the young talent has signed a 360 deal with The McKee Agency and Richmond Street Records for management, agency bookings and record release. It has also been announced that in the near future Charron will be making appearances on both Late Night with Jimmy Fallon and also BET’s 106 & Park – Freestyle Friday’s. [More]
Charron has made a name for himself worldwide as part of the “rap battle” circuit “King Of The Dot,” having won battles all across Canada, United States and Europe.
McKee Agency owner Chris McKee says “Ive never been this excited about an artist’s potential, Charron already has a worldwide fanbase. Even at this stage of his career, he has more of an online presence than many of the artists Ive worked with that have achieved Top 40 success.”
In 2011, Charron competed and won the TV show Ultimate MC (Aux TV), beating out 32 competitors from across Canada. The show featured respected MCs as judges including Royce da 5’9″, Pharoahe Monch, Planet Asia and more, all of whom praised the young MC as a talent to watch out for. The first order of business for Charron is to start work on his debut album and begin the transition from “battle rapper” into performer and song writer
The McKee Agency is a Toronto based booking agency that has put together concert tours across Canada for the likes of Rihanna, Akon, Wu Tang Clan, G-Unit, The Roots, Busta, Tech N9ne, Royce da 5’9″, D-Block and dozens more.
