About RiFF RAFF

To kick off a brand new event series that we’re calling Free Bricks, an ongoing program that is set to bring up and coming rappers to Toronto, we’re flying in the mysterious and endlessly bizarre RiFF RAFF for his exclusive Canadian debut at Wrongbar.

The often perplexing and recent Mad Decent signee has prolifically produced a body of work that jumps between Diplo-laced club bangers like “Rice Out”, wavy weed rap-collaborations with Queens food junkie Action Bronson on “Bird on a Wire” and frenetic and noisy tracks with Soulja Boy like “Versace Bentley”.

RiFF RAFF’s confusingly unique aesthetic has garnered the attention of Harmony Korine who has recently cast James Franco in his upcoming film to play a stylistic clone of RiFF RAFF himself. RIFF’s arsenal of tattoos has landed him tattoo by tattoo breakdown articles on The Fader and Complex and his voice in rap is becoming a very serious, albeit unexpected, one to reckon with.

This promises to be the kind of night you won’t want to miss out on.
