Steph J: Biography

Stephan “Steph J” James is an 18-year-old rapper and actor. Stephan was raised in the projects of Toronto, Canada. Steph has been influenced by music all throughout his childhood; he began writing and freestyling over popular beats any chance he could get. Stephan’s style for constructing insightful lyrics and verses in a creative way, quickly gave him the reputation of a genius lyricist at a very young age. After teaming up with a fellow Torontonian, producer Chad Moore, both individuals began to cultivate and build their eclectic sound. After releasing his first amateur EP entitled WHO AM I, in the first year, still unsigned Steph J has gone on to many collaborations and live performances opening for the likes of Sean “P.Diddy” Combs, YMCMB’s Tyga, and A-Game.

Aside from music, acting is a huge part of Stephan’s foundation. In December 2009, Stephan was signed by one of the most profound talent agents; Norbert Abrams; who has also represented such notable actors as Aubrey “Drake” Graham, and Nina Dobrev. Never stepping foot in an acting class he has had the opportunity to work with some of the top film directors and actors across the country.

With a growing fan base Stephan insists on remaining humble and appreciating every moment as if it was his last. Although Stephan is eager to make a name for himself in the industry, he will always remember to maintain a level of integrity and pride. Always sharp and never dull he goes by the simple motto “The sky is not the limit” and enforcing that with his team slogan “Focused all day every day” And by staying F.A.D.E.D into the craft; you will never lose, you only lose when you stop!
