2 Chainz brings Based on a T.R.U. Story Tour to Toronto on September 4 [News]

Toronto, ON – After supporting Drake this summer with a highly entertaining set at OVO Fest on August 5th, 2 Chainz returns to Toronto less than a month later as he embarks on his first headline national tour this fall entitled Based on a T.R.U. Story Tour.

This tour will follow the highly anticipated solo debut album by the same name which was officially released yesterday, August 14th, on Island Def Jam Records. The tour will kick off August 30th in Norfolk, Virginia with stops including New York, Chicago, Detroit and most importantly, Toronto on September 4th inside the Phoenix Concert Theatre.

2 Chainz has come a long way in a short amount of time, despite having an active career that spans longer than a decade. After the release of the critically acclaimed mixtape, T.R.U. REALigion, which dropped in November 2011, 2 Chainz’s demand increased at a rapid rate. He dropped singles like “Spend It” and “Riot”, and quickly became a hot item within the mixtape circuit. With numerous features since 2011, including the hit single “No Lie” featuring Drake, it has been clear that 2 Chainz, or Tity Boi to some, is force to be reckoned with.
