Toronto, ON – Sound Supremacy presents the 8th annual Battle of the Beat Makers (BBM) competition, focused on showcasing the talents of the hottest up-and-coming Canadian producers, will be going down Saturday, August 25th inside Toronto’s Opera House. The event will be hosted by Trixx. Producers have till August 22nd to register, which can be done online at BattleOfTheBeatMakers.com or in-person at one of the outlets listed on the BBM site.

The 8th Annual Battle of the Beat Makers (BBM) competition and Producer Retreat have prepare to open the floodgates for producers of all ages! Who will compete to be the crowned “National Champion” in 2012? As Canada’s pre-eminent producer event and Retreat, producers can look forward to an expansion of talent to entertain, enlighten and enrich. This year will feature another amazing weekend filled with information sharing, workshops, conferences, panels, networking engagements, product demonstrations, beat critiques, after parties and of course, the Main Event, “The Battle”.

As the only producer related event in Canada responsible for launching the careers of multi-platinum selling and Grammy-award winning producers, BBM is pleased to offer this unique opportunity to another batch of producers on the rise.

“The vision has always been to serve as a launching pad for Canadian producers to catapult their careers on the global stage. We are largely responsible for changing the status of producers in Canada, from being a hidden and largely slept on (hip-hop) element to one where producers are now some of the most celebrated figures in urban music,” says Clifton Reddick, BBM Founder.
