Ottawa’s The Adding Machine takes on a new musical direction [News]
Ottawa, ON – HipHopCanada caught up with Ottawa three-piece, The Adding Machine to stay in the loop with the group’s progress, new releases, solo projects and new musical direction.
“We’re continuing to create music that tops everything that we have done previously,” said E.ON. “We are exploring where we want to take ourselves musically.” ADDluminati, the group’s independently written and produced debut EP has been surfing the net for a few months now, it’s also free and always will be. You can download it now on HipHopCanada.
“A lot of raw energy is brought to our live shows, drawing inspiration from heavier music genres to create a unique show experience,” said Defckon.
Never making boundaries to the experimentation of clash, touching on how they’ve evolved musically between web singles and the EP, the group admits a decision to take a more serious direction was made somewhere along the road. The trio say ADDlluminati is an honest representation of what fans can expect from future releases. “Branching out and working with other artists is definitely a goal for The Adding Machine this year,” said R.A the ADDwolf.
All three members are currently working on solo projects; Defckon has been busy with Lucid Dreams, RA the ADDwolf is nearing the release of his ADDlantis EP and E.ON has been keeping up to the tempo with a yet-to-be-titled project.
“We hope to push ourselves to become a name, not only in the ottawa hip-hop scene, but nation-wide as well.”
