About DJ TDot - HipHopCanada.com

Originally from Calgary, Alberta now residing in Ottawa, Ontario Tyrell Henry, better known to most as Dj Tdot; became an essential part to Ottawa’s club network, as well as Ottawa’s number one hit music radio station Hot 89.9.

Dj Tdot has been creatively messing around with turntables since he was 13 years of age, where he found his passion. As the son and Godson of a DJ , it’s safe to say that mixing hit records is naturally in his blood. Music puts a smile on his face when he is not in a good mood and helps put him to sleep when he was tossing and turning as a young child.

His versatility ranges so far that not only does he get old school and hip hop lovers out of their seats and on their feet, he has techno heads fist pumping too. When comparing him to other dj’s their are very few that he emulates; tho he looks up to some, including names such as, Clinton Sparks, Starting From Scratch, DJ AM and DJ Vice. With his infinite energy, Dj Tdot continues to amplify his musical knowledge while solidifying his position at the forefront in this evolving world of music.

Dj Tdot has hosted events for mainstream artists such as Akon, Fabolous, Fat Joe, Kid Cudi, Pitbull, Lil Jon, Ron Browz, LMFAO, Girlicious, Kevin Rudolph, Mims, Sean Paul, Kardinal Offishall and even Pamela Anderson.

Displaying his talents at shows that feature over 6,500 guests, Dj TDot has performed in cities including Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, Ottawa, and Quebec City in Canada all the way to Puerto Plata, Punta Cana, And Cancun! During his time in Cancun, he was featured in the MuchMusic Spring Break special in both 2009 & 2010.

Even though Dj Tdot hosts major events every year all over the globe, he is just getting started. Playing for over 65,000 listeners daily on Ottawa’s #1 Radio Station and over 100,000 people yearly, you can still find him inside your local high school dance delivering a mind blowing dj performance. When asked how he would like to be remembered after he retires from being a sucessful disc jockey, Dj TDot replied, and I quote:

“When, and if I ever give up, I want to be remembered for playing the music that everyone loves to hear. When they go home, they will remember: ‘That DJ last night played my FAVORITE songs all night and I loved it!”
