Hopsin announces 3 Canadian tour dates for January [News]
Toronto, ON – HipHopCanada and Union Events are very proud to announce the long awaited Canadian return of LA rapper, Hopsin. Hop will be doing 3 Canadian dates in January including Toronto on January 10th at the Phoenix Concert Theatre, Montreal on January 11th at Club Soda and Vancouver’s The Rickshaw on January 12th. Earlier in the month, the young rapper had been turned away at the border on his way to perform in Toronto. We’re told that the border issues have been resolved.
Based out of Los Angeles and recently dubbed one of XXL’s 2012 “Freshman 10,” Hopsin is one of the fastest up and coming acts in hip-hop. With a style reminiscent of early Eminem, Hopsin has amassed a fan base of millions virally with over 700,000 Facebook fans, 200,000 Twitter followers, and more than 80,000,000 total YouTube views. Needless to say, his Canadian debut has been highly anticipated.
In 2011, Hopsin headlined over 60 shows both nationally and overseas, including dates with Tech N9ne and Machine Gun Kelly. He also recently collaborated with B.o.B. Hopsin was featured in the 2012 BET Awards cypher among the likes of Mac Miller & Kendrick Lamar and his most recent video “Ill Mind Of Hopsin” has racked up over 18 million views on YouTube since its release in July.
For the Toronto and Montreal dates, Hop will be joined by Dizzy Wright, Jarren Benton and DJ Hoppa. The special guests for the Vancouver show have yet to be announced but we’ll post the info when it becomes available. For now, click the jump for the tour posters and ticket links.
