Toronto, ON – Today’s Song of the Day is in honor of the new K’naan album, Country, God or the Girl album, available on iTunes. “Nothing to Lose” features Nas and it also appeared on K’naan’s More Beautiful Than Silence EP which came out January 2012.

The post also contains the first collaboration between a Canadian rapper and legendary rocker Bono (of U2). K’naan and Bono teamed up for “Bulletproof Pride” but it should be pointed out that K’naan is singing and not rapping on the record. While a collaboration with Bono is a monumental feat for any artist, this one wasn’t a huge surprise since the 2 artists had connected last year. As reported back in August 2011, K’naan and Bono appeared on Anderson Cooper’s AC360 show to discuss the devestating famine in Somalia.
