Toronto, ON – In case you hadn’t heard, Juno-award winning artist K’naan is currently promoting a new album called Country, God or the Girl. The project came out on October 16th after being pushed back from the original May 1st release date.

Promotions kicked off back in January with the release of the album’s frist single featuring Nelly Furtado, “Is Anybody Out There?” which peaked at #14 on the Canadian Hot 100 charts. It also topped the New Zealand singles charts and hit #92 on the Billboard Hot 100. “Is Anybody Out There?” was followed with “Nothing to Lose,” featuring Nas. Both songs were also featured on K’naan’s More Beautiful Than Silence EP which came out January 31st on A&M/Octone. Finally, the album’s third single, “Hurt Me Tomorrow,” came out back in May and has done quite well on the charts, peaking at #23 on the Canadian Hot 100 and #37 on the Billboard 40 Pop Songs.

Bono of US is the only other guest appearance on the album’s standard edition but the Deluxe version also features Keith Richards of the Rolling Stones on the song “Sleep When I Die,” will.i.am on the track “Alone” and Mark Foster appears on “On the Other Side.”

You can purchase Country, God or the Girl on iTunes now.
