SonReal & Rich Kidd – Money Money [Video]

Toronto, ON – Vancouver’s SonReal and Toronto’s Rich Kidd launch their first video for their upcoming release The Closers. “Money Money” was directed by Mark Valino with support from 235 Films. This tongue-in-cheek video was shot in a nearly 100-year-old mansion in southern Ontario, which includes century old stained glass imported from Europe, a media room hidden behind a bookcase, and some of the most unique architecture you’ll find in the area.

The duo has also announced Canadian tour dates in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Edmonton and Toronto. Click the jump for more details.

Rich Kidd, known primarily for his production work with A-List hip hop artists including Drake, Shad, Jay Electronica, Redman, K-OS and more, has emerged as an equally talented emcee, already recognized by the Toronto Star as one of the top five indie emcees in Toronto. His successful mixtape series We On Some Rich Kidd Shit won him the 2011 Stylus Award for Artist Mixtape of the Year.

Vancouver’s SonReal has built a loyal following with his steady flow of witty, interesting and innovative tracks. As an independent artist, his videos regularly hit over 100,000 views within weeks of being posted. He’s shared the stage with J.Cole, Bun B, Raekwon, Big K.R.I.T., Macklemore, Evidence, Bishop Lamont, Stalley and Kardinal Offishall.

The Closers releases on October 16, 2012. The EP-turned-LP marks the beginning of a new relationship with Black Box (Shad, Classified); both artists will be releasing solo LPs via Black Box in early 2013.
