Swollen Members win Rap / Hip-Hop Recording of the Year at WCMAs [News]
Regina, SK – Congratulations to Madchild, Prevail and Rob The Viking of Vancouver’s Swollen Members for taking home an Western Canadian Music Award (WCMA) in the Rap / Hip-Hop Recording of the Year category for their album Dagger Mouth. For those unfamiliar with the WCMA’s, here’s a description from host organization BreakOut West:
“The 10th Annual Western Canadian Music Awards celebrates the finest recording artists in all genres from BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, our host territory this year, Yukon and our newest Alliance member, the Northwest Territories.
Other nominees in the Rap / Hip-Hop Recording of the Year included Animal Nation for The Basement Tapes Volume 1, Cityreal & Wes Mackey for Good Morning Blues, Evil Ebenezer for The Birds and ZZBRA for The Original Motion Picture Soundtrack. Last year’s winner was Sweatshop Union.
