Toronto, ON – The frequency and amount of international success Toronto producers are having is just outstanding! I’m happy to report that Boi-1da and his protégés The Maven Boys were involved with the making of two songs on Game’s new album, Jesus Piece which was released on December 11th.

Along with good kid, m.A.A.d city and Meek Mill’s Dreams and Nightmares, Jesus Piece was one of the most highly anticipated albums of this year. So far, the project has been well received and has been put in high regard, as it pushes buttons and boundaries, and in standard Game fashion has a slew of features. Game released two covers for the album – the first portrayed Jesus with a teardrop tattoo, red bandana around his mouth, and wearing a Jesus piece around his neck. The alternative cover pays homage to Game’s older brother who was shot and killed at the age of 21.

Boi-1da and The Maven Boys came together to produce the title track “Jesus Piece” that featured Kanye West and Common and then Boi-1da also produced “See No Evil” featuring Kendrick Lamar and Tank. Listen to both songs after the jump.

Natasha was born and raised in Toronto. She graduated from York University almost 2 years ago and since then has co-founded a youth led, social enterprise called The Next Edition which uses media and art to engage youth with their community. Finding a way to combine her passion for music, the knowledge she has gained from working with young people and the issues she has seen in the community is a goal Natasha would like to achieve in the near future. Recently, Natasha has taken on PR work for rappers and DJs.
