Pro Era rapper Capital Steez passed at 19 [News]

Brooklyn, NY – It’s a sad day for some in the hip hop community as Pro Era emcee Capital Steez has reportedly passed away. Reports began to surface of the 19-year-old’s suicide after Steez – born Jamal Dewer – tweeted “The End.” early December 24.

Friend and Pro Era bro, Joey Bada$$ took to his Twitter to express his sadness:

“This unfortunate xmas eve.. Lost a best friend, a brother, a pro, a partner. Letting go is never easy.. May ur soul rest in peace Jamal..”

HipHopCanada had the pleasure of interviewing Steez while on The Smokers Club Tour in Vancouver. Team Heartbreak and HHC would like to express our deepest condolences to the family and friends of Jamal Dewer. He will be remembered fondly and may he Rest In Peace.
