Coachella announces 2013 lineup [News]
Indio, CA - You may still be recovering from Coachella 2012, where Tupac was summoned to the stage and resurrected in hologram form, which has left everyone wondering – who will be brought back this year?
This past week, Coachella announced its 2013 lineup with top headliners including: The Stone Roses, Phoenix, and The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Hundreds of music heads from all over the world will be heading out to the California festival that is spread out over the last two weekends in April and features dozens of acts ranging from Indie-Rock to Hip-Hop.
While a large majority of the acts performing at Coachella are from the UK and the US, there are a few Canadian names who were added to the mix as well. Metric, Japandroids, Divine Fits, Stars, Purity Ring, Richie Hawtin, Excision, and Grimes will all be representing Canada at this much anticipated music festival.
Hip-hop fans will find themselves in awe as several artists grace the stage over the two sets of three-day-weekends. Earl Sweatshirt, 2 Chainz, Danny Brown, Pusha T, Theophilus London, Action Bronson, Raider Klan are some of the acts scheduled to get the crowd jumping. But it doesn’t stop there; Jurassic 5 will be reuniting in time for Coachella, and wait for it…Wu-Tang Clan will also be tearing it up.
