T.R.A. of The SARS Network releases album debut, Blunt Trauma [News]
Toronto, ON – Born and raised in Toronto, Tha Rhyme Animal aka T.R.A., developed his passion for hip-hop in the early 1980’s when his older brother Lemont introduced him to the culture. T.R.A. used to watch Lemont spin records in their parents’ basement for hours on end, making mixtapes and recording demos on a four-track recorder. T.R.A. would be captivated by the music and began studying the four founding elements of lyricism, graffiti, DJing and break-dancing.
Through The SARS Networks that he founded, Tha Rhyme Animal has matured as an artist, crafting his skills with a commanding voice and strong wordplay. T.R.A. has completed two albums alongside his foundation crew Empire, 3 solo mixtapes and 9 SARS compilations in the past 10 years. T.R.A. is now ready to give the world his debut album called Blunt Trauma, available on Bandcamp and iTunes. Blunt Trauma has 12 banging songs as well as a bonus track. The project features Adam Bomb, Tommy Spitz, Renee Wynter and The SARS Networks’ TalkSick. Production comes courtesy of Frank Dukes, Big Sproxx, AmiR Da Terorrist, Phat Tony, Rich Kidd, Noah “40” Shebib and The Quarter Inch Kings.
This is hands down, some of the best material from Tha Rhyme Animal, and is sure to be considered a hip-hop classic for the books. You can stream the project after the jump…don’t sleep!
