Warner Music Canada Celebrates Rcord Store Day
Warner Music Canada will help celebrate the sixth annual Record Store Day (Saturday, April 20, 2013) by offering music fans access to limited edition releases of 48 titles including limited edition vinyl from Gordon Lightfoot, Billy Talent and Buck 65 as well as unique releases such as The Stooges and The Black Keys offering up the classic “No Fun” on two sides of a colored vinyl single and the 12” single featuring Manchester Orchestra / Grouplove “Make It To Me” and Manchester Orchestra / Frightened Rabbit “Architect.”
“Record Store Day has become such an important celebration of the culture that surrounds vinyl and independent records shops,” says Warner Music Canada president Steve Kane (a self-confessed record store junkie). “There was no question we had to bring some local flavour to the day! As a record collector Record Store Day is like Christmas and my birthday rolled into one.”
