Freestyle Friday champ Charron releases Bath Salts & Vinegar Chips [News]
Ottawa, ON – Charron has made a name for himself worldwide as part of the “rap battle” circuit. He’s been a top MC in King of the Dot, won battles across Canada, the US and Europe, and became the 2013 winner of BET’s 106 & Park Freestyle Fridays segment. It’s one of several big titles that Charron has captured in a relatively short but impressive career. In 2011, Charron competed and won the Ultimate MC battle tournament that aired on Aux TV, beating out 32 competitors from across Canada. The show featured respected MC’s as judges including Royce da 5’9″, Pharoahe Monch, Planet Asia and more, all of whom praised the young MC as a talent to watch out for.
While Charron has now achieved more than most of his battle circuit peers, he’s switching his focus to creating music. The first order of business for Charron is to start work on his album debut and begin the transition from “battle rapper” to performer and song writer. To get the ball rolling he’s released a new mixtape called Bath Salts & Vinegar Chips. You can listen and download the project after the jump.
