Jo Thrillz – So Far To Go [Video]

Edmonton, AB – Joel “Jo Thrillz” Vaillancourt has just released visuals for the banger “So Far To Go” off his sophomore mixtape, Just Another Weekend. The track was recorded and mastered by Dystinkt Beats and samples the popular indie-rock tune, “Fool Moon,” by Coolrunnings.

The video was directed by Jeff Eckert in Edmonton and follows Thrillz as he laces up his kicks and goes for a run while musing on his current place in the hip-hop game. Although Thrillz is one of Edmonton’s rising MCs, he told us that he’s perfectly content doing what he loves most: hip-hop. “I’m not trying to fit in. I don’t know what an A-lister is, yet. But it sounds cool. I’m probably like a D-lister or some sort of remedial-applied-lister. It’s dope though.” Peep the video after the jump.

It’s fitting that the video shows Thrillz amidst his workout routine because Jo is actually a dedicated runner. He recently ran the Bay to Breakers race in San Francisco and runs on a frequent basis. “Those are my real running shoes [in the video]. I don’t have a regular route. Sometimes I run inside at the gym or different spots along he river valley,” said Vaillancourt.

And just so you all know, you can now get your paws on some official Jo Thrillz merchandise through his online store. We’re a huge fan of the t-shirts emblazoned with the slogan, “We Getting Goony. The Gooniest.” Thrillz has used his rookie mixtape, The Gooniest, to make anything “goony” his catch-phrase. “All Jo Thrillz’ fans should be incorporating “Goony” into everything they do and wear,” said Vaillancourt. “The best spots [to sport the new merchandise] would be family re-unions, baby showers, the strippers, funerals, [and] court.”
