2 Live Crew to headline End of Summer Ol’ School Bash in Calgary [News]

Calgary, ABHipHopCanada has teamed up with our friends over at Dubsac, Boodang, 3 Entertainment and Mez Muzik to bring you 2 Live Crew at Ten Nightclub on Aug. 21 for the End of Summer Ol’ School Bash. Cap off your summer with a bang, and get a little nasty, in true 2 Live style. Crew members Fresh Kid Ice and Brother Marquis will perform their old school jams, and give us a sneak peek at some newer joints off their upcoming Just Wanna Be Heard album. Get ready for controversy, raunch, and everything else that you love about the 2 Live Crew. Check out the official flyer after the jump.

Tickets are $20 and can be purchased online, or at Grassroots (112 – 10 St NW), Next Level Bowness (6517 Bowness Rd NW), Next Level 17th (101, 3608 – 17 Ave SE), Next Level Queensland (408, 950 Queensland Dr SE), The Gallery (1314 – 1 St SW) or Golden Leaf (101, 6 Crowfoot Cir. NW).

And in other news, Fresh Kid Ice (born Christopher Wong Won) is looking to drop a self-published book titled, Parental Advisory – My Life – My Story. And he’s funding it through Kickstarter. He’s chosen to publish it himself to keep his artistic integrity intact. The book will feature Won’s musings on the 2 Live Crew and Luke Records. And it might also include some interviews with the likes of Flo Rida, Mannie Fresh, and more. We’re guessing the smut-factor will be off the charts, and potentially on par with Fifty Shades of Grey. Here’s the ultimate kicker, though: if you donate $250 to fund the project, you get your own personal phone call from Won, as well as five autographed copies of the book and a devilishly handsome photo of Fresh Kid Ice.
