Dele O – Tony Montana [Audio]

Winnipeg, MB – Winnipeg-based MC Dele O has just dropped a remix of Future‘s popular 2011 track, “Tony Montana.” For those who aren’t familiar with him, Tony Montana is Al Pacino’s protagonist main-character in the legendary Scarface film. Montana started off as a Cuban refugee, and rose to drug-lord notoriety by slinging cocaine in Miami. But for this remix, Dele O approaches the Montana legacy with caution. “You can work your entire life to achieve success and lose it all in a moment,” he said. “The thing Scarface and I have in common is a tell-it-like-it-is approach. We either see eye-to-eye, or we don’t.” Check out the track below.

Future collaborated with Drake for the original “Tony Montana,” which was featured on Future’s 2011 debut studio album, Pluto. Future repeats Tony Montana’s name 13 times on each hook throughout the track. It’s shows some serious Scarface love. But Dele O took a different approach to make the track his own. “When I’m doing a remix, I write it as if I’m on the actual song,” he said. “I’m trying to outdo [Future] on his own song.”
