Hip-hop heads mourn the passing of DJ Booda [News]
Lethbridge, AB – Alberta’s hip-hop community is mourning the sudden death of 31-year-old promoter-DJ, James “DJ Booda” Nishima. Nishima passed away on Wednesday night. He left a legacy as the man who built up Lethbridge’s music scene. Booda brought in the big-name shows, and made hip-hop happen.
Booda proudly represented his city. He was known for supporting the up-and-coming local artists, and extended his reach beyond Lethbridge to artists across the country. HipHopCanada sends our condolences to his family and friends. Rest in peace, James. You’ll be missed.
