Nardwuar vs Madchild (Interview) [Video]

Vancouver, BC – Trivia heads take note, The Human Serviette has returned! Nardwuar vs Madchild – Two west coast greats meet at last. After some previous attempts, Nardwuar finally locks in an interview with the Battleaxe Warriors general, Madchild of Swollen Members. Fresh off some tour dates in support of his new Lawn Mower Man album, Madchild goes back in time with Nardwuar’s never ending bag of nostalgia. From original recordings of Madchild’s first early 90’s releases, to stories of his high school years, Nardwuar’s never seems to disappoint.

One of the greatest aspects of a Nardwaur interview is all the unknown facts that he digs up, and how gets artist to open up. In this particular interview you find out why some of hip-hop’s greatest acts have stayed at Madchild’s grandmother’s house, his perspective on the forefathers of Vancouver’s hip-hop scene, his thoughts on Drake, and an event series known as Drunken Monkey. Interestingly enough, he makes a point of mentioning that a San Diego DJ by the name of Zodak (Rock Steady Crew) was an original member of the Swollen Members.

Madchild’s new Lawn Mower Man release is available for purchase on iTunes.
