New’L – Smoke Screens & Mirrors [Audio]

Calgary, AB – As he gears up for his debut Pay Schemes & Daydreams mixtape release next month, New’L has dropped a fresh new single for our listening pleasure. The track is titled “Smoke Screens & Mirrors.” And it delivers a much-needed dose of real talk. So take a minute and vibe out to the track below.

New’L came up in the battle scene, and has garnered quite the local following. He was even featured on CTV last week – which is awesome. He is arguably one of the hungriest battle rappers in Calgary. But when he steps up to the microphone, his lyricism gets heavy and intimate—wack rappers, big egos, and dealing with the “smoke screen-and-mirrors” act fronted by so many cats on the scene. The beat on the track comes to us from Jones Beatz. And it is ill.
