Teekay – psYYChology ft. A.Y.E. [Video]

Calgary, AB – Last month, Teekay (of Dragon Fli Empire) and A.Y.E. dropped the banger “psYYCholoy” off Teekay’s recent self-produced album of the same name. The catchy boom-bap joint has quickly become a favourite amongst the Calgary heads, and has also gotten some love from New York’s legendary rapper-producer, Freddie Foxxx (also known as Bumpy Knuckles).

Now we have great news for you: Teekay just dropped new visuals to accompany the track. The video was directed and edited by Stefan Lewis. And it nails the “psYYChology” concept. The visuals draw a parallel between “book smarts” and “street smarts.” It gets deep. Get ready for some shots of A.Y.E. with his nose in the books, as well as some tripped out video effects. Check it out after the jump and head over here to cop a free download of the album.

The official psYYChology album release party goes down on Sep. 7 at Café Koi (1011 – 1 St SW) in Calgary. Doors open at 8 p.m. and performances begin at 9 p.m. The entire album is slated for performance, which means local MCs A.Y.E., Avious, Bedroc Oxtail, and more, are on the evening’s performance roster. Also, there’s no cover charge. Which means it’s going to be a banging night of free local hip-hop. So we’ll see you all there.
