Bliss N Eso live at Fortune Sound [Review]

Vancouver, BC – The Australian hip-hop super trio Bliss N Eso made their first stop on their Circus In The Sky Tour at Vancouver’s Fortune Sound Club. With their recent album reaching number 1 on Australian iTunes, it’s clear that these Aussie’s know how to throw down a track or two. With a group of diverse opening acts Bliss N Eso turned up the heat to show Vancity exactly what they are all about.

Greg B kicked off the early show and got straight into business warming up the crowd before Def 3 made his way to the stage dropping cuts from his Amnesia EP and more. The crowd was responsive to Def 3’s laid-back vibe but made room for the hard-hitting sounds of Evil Ebenezer. With Howl on the verge of being released, Evil’s flow is on point and building up pressure to bust all the way to the east of Canada as he joins B N E across country. Ebenezer fans were stoked on the drop of new material being shared.

Hip-hop rocker and retired pro snowboarder Ceekay Jones picked up his six string and wow’d the crowd almost instantly. His signature Gucci punk style and diverse cuts were enough to keep the crowd intrigued and wanting more. The LA boy will be joining Bliss N Eso along with Evil Ebenezer as they make their way through the Prairies to T. Dot on their Canada tour. And for the main act: Bliss N Eso with their DJ make three – an epic scene of how Australia really turns up. Vancouver being their first stop on tour before Rifflandia, these guys have so much experience in the festival scene that Vancouver’s China Town venue was a piece of cake – and the crowd was eating right from their hands. Dropping tracks from Flying Colours, Running On Air and of course Circus In The Sky the boys rocked the house harder than most. Check out the photo gallery below as well as future Canadian tour dates. If you have a chance to catch these guys live, we recommend you do. This is a performance not to be missed.

Kassandra has her hands in several cookie jars. Born in Ontario but raised on the West coast, she is currently located in the wonderfully diverse East side of Vancouver. With a passion for all things creative KassKills is a hair stylist by day and HipHopCanada's West Coast Regional Editor by night. Music and public relations are her true passions and although she didn't inherit the talent of her musician father she makes her mark on the industry through other avenues. By night you can catch KassKills at almost every Vancity hip-hop show, shaking hands and snapping photos while covering and supporting the local music scene. On top of that she works closely with one of the cities most reputable concert promotors, Timbre Concerts. Kass is a hustler by nature and works hard to play a key role Vancity's hip-hop scene. Over the years she has seen, photographed and interviewed many of hip-hop's top artists such as T.I, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, Noreaga, Black Milk, Waka Flocka, Ab-Soul & Dizaster.
