Snak The Ripper launches new label Stealth Bomb Records [News]

Vancouver, BCSnak The Ripper has been a fixture in the underbelly of Vancouver’s hip-hop scene for sometime and his growing popularity in and outside of Canada is largely due to his solid grind and expertise in giving audiences what they want. There’s no doubt that he belongs in the booth and on stage delivering his signature style of uninhibited raps and raw energy – but his motivation for the music business stems further than just writing rhymes and performing them. Way further.

I wanted to offer my friends an outlet to release music that they can trust 100%. This label offers complete transparency to the artists. I’ve never had full control of anything I’ve released in the past.

Introducing Stealth Bomb Records – launched September 1, 2013. Snak’s new venture into label ownership along with a team of dedicated artists and professionals by his side who combined have decades of experience in the music biz and are dedicated to providing their listeners with high quality hip-hop music. SBR are a team of some of Snak’s long time friends and business affiliates and also happen to be some of the best in the industry. Artists include Brass Tackz bro Young Sin, first lady Jaclyn Gee and young Merkules. Along with those three, DJ Nato, DJ D-Rec, Perry Papadakos of Good Friday Entertainment, Craig McMillan of Frontline Entertainment, video director Grazi Salama, Ryan Wiese of Ephin Apparel and Kyle Kraft of Battle Axe Music are now calling Stealth Bomb Records home as well. This team is more than impressive from the jump but does the CEO have plans to pick up anyone new in the near future? “We’re always on the look out for new artists to build with, but we aren’t in a rush to sign anyone at this moment.”

When asked about his reasons for leaving long time supporters Camobear Records to start something of his own Snak says: “I want to help other artists get on their feet business wise. Secondly, I wanted to offer my friends an outlet to release music that they can trust 100%. This label offers complete transparency to the artists. I’ve never had full control of anything I’ve released in the past. There’s always been some middle-man types, so I’m trying to minimize the amount of people between the artist and their royalties.” Although he felt like it was time to move on, Snak’s relationship with Camobear remains solid – “I love those dudes and appreciate everything they did for me in the past.”

So what can we expect from Snak and his team as the first order of business for Stealth Bomb Records? “We’ve been working nonstop the past few months to get the business fully operational. Our main priority at this time is preparing for the release of Jaclyn Gee’s new EP Autonomous, and Merkules’ new EP Hunger Pains – both set to be released this October. During October we’ll be heading out on the Stealth Bomb Tour, playing over 25 shows across Canada, followed by an over seas tour in November. I’ll also be releasing a new album this spring.”

Congratulations to Snak The Ripper and the whole Stealth Bomb Records team – we wish you the best of luck.

Kassandra has her hands in several cookie jars. Born in Ontario but raised on the West coast, she is currently located in the wonderfully diverse East side of Vancouver. With a passion for all things creative KassKills is a hair stylist by day and HipHopCanada's West Coast Regional Editor by night. Music and public relations are her true passions and although she didn't inherit the talent of her musician father she makes her mark on the industry through other avenues. By night you can catch KassKills at almost every Vancity hip-hop show, shaking hands and snapping photos while covering and supporting the local music scene. On top of that she works closely with one of the cities most reputable concert promotors, Timbre Concerts. Kass is a hustler by nature and works hard to play a key role Vancity's hip-hop scene. Over the years she has seen, photographed and interviewed many of hip-hop's top artists such as T.I, Raekwon, Sheek Louch, Noreaga, Black Milk, Waka Flocka, Ab-Soul & Dizaster.
